Insurance Customer Application

Allicare is the international life insurance offering a range of life protection, health, savings, and investment-linked insurance solutions. Their diverse range of products enables individuals and groups up to the age of 80 years to select plans to suit their financial needs.  

Allicare currently has a website which integrates with online utilities, supporting customers to connect policy information. Due to the increasing number of customers, they want to build a mobile application to help customers access the services in the fastest and most convenient way and easily make inquiries and transactions related to Insurance Policy anytime, anywhere.

Our Target

The customer requires workflows that are not too different from the website flow but still fit mobile behavior. It means we develop a mobile-friendly workflow for the current website.

Due to the wide range of age groups, Allicare wants not only a modern and friendly design but also an all-age application.

Design Process

01.

Kick-off Meeting

  • Create a shared understanding of the project’s background
  • Come to a mutual agreement on work methods, timeline, and scope of work to ensure everyone is on the same page

Research

  • Get to know the client and their potential customer groups
  • Research similar products on the market or websites/applications having similar features
  • Research design trending, technical involved
03.

Brainstorm

  • Work closely with the client and business analysts to clarify requirements, identify pain points, and propose respective resolutions
  • Define sitemaps, user roles & permissions matrix, and user flows
  • Sketch some low-fidelity wireframes if needed and continue to research everything related
04.

Wireframing

  • Sketch out high-fidelity wireframes
  • Build simple prototypes to test user flows
  • Review with the stakeholders, gather their feedback and update the wireframes if needed
05.

UI Option

  • Set up a mini workshop to brainstorm ideas and create a mood board
  • Define designs concepts and apply them on some key screens to offer design options
  • Run review sessions with the client to bring out the final UI style

06.

Visual Design

  • Continue with a few improvements to complete the design concept
  • Create a style guide and a UI components library
  • Apply the style to the entire project and create essential icons and illustrations
